Cliches…?

What are some cliches that you absolutely hate in books? It can be any kind; fantasy, sci-fi, supernatural.

I just want to see what most people don’t like reading about, or some common occurrences.

i hate reading about comedy. it’s stupid.

I really dislike it when someone is running from an evil creature or man and falls. That is so cliche, in my opinion.

I dislike it when someone is about to impart vital information to the main character and is stopped or interrupted before he can give the information. I hate it if, before the secret can be told, that person is killed.

I dislike stereotypes like the very weak woman and incredibly strong man. I also dislike avoiding the stereotype by going to the opposite extremes.

If it’s allowable to bring in a book with a romance, I dislike it when the heroine is a flawless beauty. I don’t mind if she is beautiful, but who is the absolute expression of physical beauty?

However, there is an exception to every rule, so I wouldn’t necessarily hate a book or story that includes some of the above (though I might get a bit annoyed).
